Question by sayuri-chan: Why is R&B music trash and all about sex today?

In the 1960's you had Motown and stax and even other 60's artists and I think for black music the 1960's was THE best decade yes better than the 1970's. because of the civil rights movement and everything.We have had 9/11 hurricane katrina so why haven't I heard a song about these disasters or even a rap song about it.I am sick of hearing about cheating and love songs that talk about getting back together and infidelity I mean what went wrong?
